TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I believe in inspiring long term results in students through constructive feedback and a healthy and strong technique to serve as a solid foundation for any musical style. I enjoy sharing my love of music and watching students progress in both their musical development as well as their appreciation for music.
As a performer, I have studied with world-renowned artists from all over the world. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Brigham Young University. I have experience teaching voice and piano as well as advanced sight singing to students with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences privately and in group settings.
I am an extremely enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, and I go out of my way to ensure that my students receive the tools they need to take their abilities to the next level and achieve their goals. For me, the focus is entirely on the student and what I need to do to help their development.

I have experience teaching from the Alfred and Bastien technique books. I tailor the teaching method to the student rather than the other way around to best serve your individual needs, personality, and goals.
If you are new to music, piano is a great instrument to start with, and I look forward to learning this new skill with you and having fun along the way!
